Resident Education Day will be held on April 7, 2022

This course was uniquely designed by geriatric medicine residents and program directors to complement the teaching curriculum of geriatric programs in order to consolidate medical expert competencies and prepare for independent practice. The program includes presentations from faculty experts and a career planning panel with representatives from the community and academia in geriatric medicine and care of the elderly. Topics for this year will include:

    • Atypical Dementia Syndromes, clinical presentation and associated neuro-imaging
    • Parkinson’s Disease
    • Perioperative care for the geriatric patient
    • Canadian Institute of Health Research Information
    • Creating and sustaining specialized geriatric services
    • Career planning panel – extended session

Registration for Resident Day (registration is for Residents Only)

In order to register and attend Resident Day, you must be a member of the CGS. If you are a member, you can register using the ASM registration below and add on Resident Day in the registration form. You must be logged in to your CGS membership account in order to access the correct registration category. Visit your membership profile to check your member status.

Resident Day is free for members and there is a reduced fee for members to attend the ASM.
