who can become a member of the cgs?

We encourage all physicians with an interest in geriatrics, allied health care professionals, medical students, medical residents and researchers in the field of aging to join the CGS. 

Membership Criteria

Regular Membership:
$325/year + HST or $900/three years + HST 
(Open to all professionals involved in the care, study or research of the elderly, who are in good standing with their respective colleges in Canada, if applicable)
Associate Member - Residents:  $50.00/year + HST
(Open to residents, clinical or research fellows, Masters and PhD candidates)

IMPORTANT: Your proof of enrollment (Resident ID with expiry date, Program or Faculty confirmation of current enrollment) is required.

IMPORTANT: Votre preuve d'inscription (p. ex., carte d'identification de médecin résident avec la date d'expiration, confirmation d'inscription de la part du programme ou de la faculté) est exigé.

Student Membership:      No charge
(Open to full-time undergraduate students, including medical and allied health professional students)

IMPORTANT: Your proof of enrollment (Student ID with expiry date, Program or Faculty confirmation of current enrollment) is required.

IMPORTANT: Votre preuve d'inscription (p. ex., carte d'identification d'étudiant avec la date d'expiration, confirmation d'inscription de la part du programme ou de la faculté) est exigé.

 Life Patron: 

No charge
(Open to individuals who have been a CGS Member  in good standing for the past five (5) years and who are retired from active clinical practice)

IMPORTANT: Please complete the Life Patron application form and email it to cgs@secretariatcentral.com to finalize your application. The form will be emailed to you once you submit your online application.

 Membership approval is at the sole discretion of the membership committee and applies to all membership types.
