The Canadian Resident Geriatrics Interest Group are a group of passionate residents from across Canada in various specialties (family medicine, internal medicine, and psychiatry, Care of the Elderly, Geriatric Medicine, and Geriatric Psychiatry) who are interested in Geriatrics! Our goal is to support education and networking for learners interested in Geriatrics across Canada! Co-Chairs
Mercedes Lupo is a PGY4 resident in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto and she completed her internal medicine training at McMaster University. She is interested in practicing geriatrics with a social medicine lens and hopes to continue to work as a clinician-teacher.
Allen Chang is a PGY4 resident in Geriatric Medicine at Dalhousie University. His interests include the care of older adult immigrants, as well as the implementation of technology and AI in older adult care.

Shailee Siddhpuria is a PGY1 resident in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto.
VP Admin
Vincent Hou is a PGY1 resident in Internal Medicine at Dalhousie University. He is interested in exploring more about the medical care of older adults and learning about various topics including frailty, dementia, immunization and aging.
VP Mentorship
Samantha Lui is a PGY3 resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Alberta. She developed an interest in the care of older adults early on in medical school. Her interests include acute geriatric care and perioperative geriatric medicine.
Robin Hao is a PGY5 resident in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Calgary. He's passionate about medical education, perioperative assessment, and memory clinics, all while being a proud parent of two little ones.
VP Francophone
Marianne Lamarre is a PGY5 resident in geriatric medicine at the University of Montreal and was resident-coordinator of the Quebec geriatric network for 2022-2023. She will be starting her practice in Spring 2024 in a community hospital in a suburban area of Montreal, aiming to offer consults in geriatric oncology and perioperative medicine, as well as services in an affiliated memory clinic.

Shannon Gui is a PGY3 resident in Internal Medicine at McMaster University. She is passionate about medical education and incorporating visual and digital arts in medical and patient education. Her current research interests lie in delirium, and she is thankful to be a member of the Delirium Research Group at GERAS.
Lucy Eum is a PGY3 resident in Internal Medicine at Dalhousie University. As a trainee in the Clinician Investigator Program and a former pharmacist, her research interests include dementia prevention strategies and anticholinergics.

Manan Ahuja is a PGY3 resident in Internal Medicine at McMaster University. He has a continued interest in geriatric-related advocacy and research and has been part of the Delirium Research Group for the last seven years at GERAS in Hamilton, ON.

VP Geriatric Psychiatry
Brian Serapio is a PGY3 resident in psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He has had a longstanding interest in the care of older adults as evidenced by volunteer work, involvement in geriatrics interest groups, and engagement in research in the area. As a psychiatry resident, Brian continues to hone his interest in older adult care especially as it relates to consultation-liaison psychiatry work, dementia and BPSD, and intersectionality.
Ana Kovacevic is a PGY3 resident in psychiatry at McMaster University. She is interested in comrephensive psychiatric care of older adults and the intersect between mental and physical health.

Priya Pin is a PGY3 resident in the Care of the Elderly program at McMaster University, where she also completed her Family Medicine residency. Her interests include preventative medicine and providing ongoing care for geriatric patients in the community to help keep them independent.

Emily Goudie is a PGY3 resident in Internal Medicine at UBC. She also completed part of her training at the University of Calgary, and has had the pleasure of learning from Geriatrician mentors at both universities. She has an interest in caring for older adults with substance use disorders and cognitive decline.
Natanya Russek is a PGY4 resident in geriatric medicine at the University of British Columbia. Her interests include acute geriatric care and care for vulnerable urban populations such as those experiencing homelessness.
